The country’s independent media were present at the third congress of Aguascalientes 2024, where the incumbent businessmen were able to exchange ideas and visions about Mexico and the independent work of bringing information that touches on issues that are often of sensitive analysis.

The informing labor is constant and does not stop, and above all it must be truthful and thorough in the way in which it is transmitted.

Generating critical and loyal audiences is a task that can only be revealed with the acceptance of each media outlet from the constancy of the truthfulness of the information.

Independent entrepreneurs know this and understand that every day is a challenge of acceptance that must be worked for the good of the audience in society.

The role of the independent media and the effort to bring information day after day was analyzed by those present in informal meetings, but also in front of presentations by well-known reporters.

This third congress of the Coneme was always supported by the constitutional governor, María Teresa Jiménez Esquivel, who at the inauguration addressed words of recognition to the attendees, independent businessmen, where she spoke with words of encouragement to freedom of expression. For his part, Bishop Juan Espinoza Jiménez stressed virtually, the importance of ethical values in the task of information. The congress was even attended by the candidate of the Frente Amplio, Xóchitl Gálvez.

The inauguration also included the words of the president of the Coneme Aguascalientes, José Isabel Vela Pérez, who, in addition to his good wishes, delved into the responsibility that the media has to report truthfully in these times of anxiety for the journalistic guild.

The island of San Marcos, witnessed the development of the congress and the presentations that were presented there by different speakers of prosapia and recognized professional palmares of the level of journalists such as Karla Iberia Sánchez, Adriana Heredia, Enrique Olivares Flores, Víctor Sánchez Baños to mention a few.

The event was organized by the head of the Coneme, the journalist Jaime Arizmendi, who under his direction and coordination brought the congress to a successful conclusion until its end on the morning of Sunday, March 3.

The end of activities and closing of the event was led by the director of the Congress and Visitors Bureau of the State Government, Veronica Gonzalez, on behalf of Governor Tere Jimenez.

Finally, the delivery of recognitions and attendance of each of the participants was crowned with the Coneme Aguascalientes Declaration, which presents 16 points to build the structure that exalts the ethics policies and values of the association which it prepares new activities.

Aguascalientes, México, is a parameter that will serve to build the next congress, with the experience obtained and with the desire to continue on the path traced and increasingly combine the free coexistence between independent media entrepreneurs, and thus strengthen, from this initiative, the consolidation of a structure that serves as support for independent media to in conjunction offer one more option of journalism among the different news offers.
