As Robert F. Kennedy Jr. moves closer to endorsing Trump, analysts say defection from a ‘Camelot’ poses no danger to Democrats.
Democrats don’t worry about a Kennedy Jr. backing Trump at this convulsive moment on the eve of the presidential election.
A Point of View.

Not even the defection of a «Camelot» represents an issue of concern – it is commented in Kamala Harris’ campaign house – Especially since the polls at this time give him a slight advantage over his Republican adversary.

In the midst of all that advertising campaign and more now that Netflix is preparing a series about the life of JFK, written and produced by Academy Award winner Eric Roth, where the life of a «Camelot», the basis of the legend promoted by his widow Jackie, will be told in the style of the series «The Crown».
From the begining of his campaign, pollsters and political strategists wondered if the appeal and nostalgia surrounding Kennedy’s name would be enough to appeal to some disgruntled Democrats in a race in which every vote will be critical, however, there is no great concern. The party bases are closing ranks around Harris and the dismissal of a partisan is not of concern. Above all, that it is linked to the campaign of an old acquaintance of many, and that deep down, they already know that the outbursts of the Republican candidate are outside, but also inside the party.
But returning to the democratic «grasshopper», we must refer directly to the history of this famous Kennedy clan, it is a remedy for Greek tragedy, but today, I will not focus on that, for this we will wait better for the Netflix series, where all that epic worthy of a soap opera in the best style of Mexican soap opera will be detailed.

Jackie Kennedy liked to say that her days in the White House were similar to living in the kingdom of Camelot. The legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table was meant to be the reason to compare that epic with the time when JFK ruled the United States. A concept full of metaphors.
Already entering fully into the subject, where former Republican President Donald Trump now a candidate for the Presidency, promotes in any case, in the best way of a reailty show, the incorporation to his campaign team, the heir to the Kennedy dynasty – of recognized Democratic lineage – as a trophy taken to his showcase, demonstrating a power of supposed legitimacy that raises a candidacy that was stopped in its tracks, by the unexpected incursion of the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, in relief of the current octogenarian president Joe Biden.
The presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as an independent candidate, was suddenly struck down when he decided to join the enemy party and support former President Donald Trump.
And despite initial concerns among Democrats that his last name alone could divert votes from the party’s standard-bearer, analysts say a simple series of personal and political revelations would not be favorable to Trump’s campaign image. Something that will come to light in due course, if not in «Camelot», it behaves like a Trojan horse. They say that in the end «The skin hurts more than the shirt». Everything remains to be seen.
The pride of nepotism.
Robert Kennedy has relied heavily on his heritage to move with influence, going so far as to repurpose an ad from his uncle’s 1960 presidential campaign during the Super Bowl this year in order to generate a state of nostalgia among viewers. And to some extent, the effort worked, as the mystique and allure of the JFK name is what has driven the support of a portion of his base.
But as he was linked to conspiracy theories, largely about vaccines, considering himself an «antivax» in the middle of the pandemic, this became more evident and despite that fame, he made the decision to seek an independent candidacy. The appeal of the «Camelot» passed by.
He lashed out against several members of the dynasty including his own natal family, publicly distancing himself from him, lashing out fiercely on social networks for tarnishing the Kennedy surname.
Also useless are the strange stories that have leaked in recent months, including that doctors found a worm in his brain that ate a part of his frontal lobe and died in there, leaving the corpse petrified inside his head.
The media emphasized the effects, including brain fog and memory loss, which were apparently so severe that even one of his medical friends worried he might have had a tumor.
Another topic talks about a head injury that occurred when he admitted to throwing a dead bear cub into the Central Park lake almost a decade after the fact was discovered.
And he also liked to be photographed with bears in hunting tasks.
While Kennedy has tried to capitalize on the legacy, his «troubled personal life and erratic, even outlandish political agenda» is something that does not work in his favor and on the contrary are issues that significantly limit his political appeal.
It is increasingly difficult for him to claim that protective mantle of the Kennedy clan’s mystique, especially when his own family strives at all costs to disassociate itself from him.
«I am outraged and disgusted by the hug my brother gave to Donald Trump,» she said. «I completely repudiate it, separate myself and disassociate myself from Robert Kennedy Jr. and this blatant and inexplicable effort to desecrate, trample and set fire to the memory of my father.»
Trump is «a threat to most of the basic freedoms that are fundamental to Americans. The right of women to control our bodies, the right to live in communities safe from gun violence, to love who you love. And I think if my father were alive today, the real Robert Kennedy would have hated almost everything that Donald Trump stands for,» Kerry Kennedy said.
Robert F. Kennedy’s grandson, Joe Kennedy III, retweeted the Kennedy brothers’ statement with a simple «Well said.»
RFK Jr.’s brother, Max Kennedy, didn’t join Friday’s quick response expressing the family’s displeasure, but he wrote his own article for the Los Angeles Times on Sunday.
«I am heartbroken by my brother Bobby’s endorsement of Donald Trump,» he wrote.
«To pledge allegiance to Trump, a man who does not demonstrate adherence to our family’s values, is unconscionable to me.»
«Even worse, the incongruity. Earlier this month, when Harris rose in the polls, my brother offered him his endorsement in exchange for a position in his next administration. – He did not get a response-«.
«Now he has offered that same deal to Trump. Theirs is a hollow seizure of power, a strategic attempt at relevance. It is the opposite of what my father admired: the altruistic spirit that exists in the United States of America.»
«It is with a heavy heart that I ask my fellow Americans today to do what will most honor our father: ignore Bobby and support Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic platform,» Max Kennedy wrote. «It’s the best thing for our country.»
Now let’s hope that all this «soap opera» is to at least give incursion themes for the new Netflix series, which promises high levels of ratings, after a specialist in reality shows, such as the media TV actor Donald Trump, -supports him- «Grasshopper».
For now, this chapter is just beginning.
In short, «Everywhere they cook beans»
