Putin ‘Will Interfere in U.S. Election’ to Help Trump Win: ‘It’s His Last Hope’
Vladimir Putin’s former speechwriter said Russian elites will be furious with the Kremlin chief if Joe Biden wins the U.S. election.
Vladimir Putin will interfere in the U.S. election to try to help Donald Trump win because he is «Putin’s last hope,» a former Kremlin speechwriter has said.Abbas Gallyamov wrote speeches for Putin when he was Russian prime minister between 2008 and 2012, but is now a vocal critic of the Kremlin living in Israel.
As Trump prepares to take on the current president, Joe Biden.
Gallyamov believes Putin will do everything in his power to help Trump win.
He said: «Putin will definitely try to interfere in the election because Donald Trump is his last hope.
«Now Putin can tell them, ‘Soon Trump will win and everything will be different.’
«The elites are waiting for the outcome of the U.S. election. Putin is now ready to take any action because if Trump doesn’t win, he will lose everything.»
Gallyamov’s comments come despite Putin recently stating that he would prefer Biden to be U.S. president after the November election.
When asked who he would prefer to work with, Putin said: «Biden, he’s more experienced, he’s more predictable, he’s an old-party politician.
«But we will work with any American leader that the American people trust.»
Trump later praised the comments as a «huge compliment.»
The Mueller Report was an investigation that was conducted after the 2016 election to see if Russian interference had played a role.
The report claimed that Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election occurred «in a widespread and systematic manner,» but «did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.»
However, Gallyamov believes that Russia will do everything it can to ensure that Trump wins.
He said: «This intervention by Russian trolls on social media will come, exploiting Putin’s apologists and helping Trump win by creating the sense that everyone loves Trump.
«The same will be done in the elections in Europe. They will try to discredit anti-Putin politicians in European countries and promote the far right.»
