ICE AGE

ICE is making a concerted effort to widely publicize its immigration enforcement efforts, sharing regular updates on social media that detail daily arrest figures, along with the names and images of those arrested. The administration aims for each of ICE’s 25 field offices to make at least 75 arrests per day, ‘but hopefully many more’ as part of its offensive against immigration, said Stephen Miller, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff.

The agency claims to have made over 5,500 arrests since January 23, averaging nearly 800 arrests per day. According to an agency report, ICE’s enforcement and deportation operations conducted 113,431 administrative arrests in the fiscal year that ended in October 2024. This amounts to approximately 310 arrests per day.
