Alito reacted to INE’s refusal to investigate him for embezzlement: «The PRI will vote against the Electoral Reform».

The General Council of the National Electoral Institute resolved 95 ordinary disciplinary proceedings against political parties and legal entities. Among these cases was a corruption complaint against Alito Moreno for his time in the Campeche government.
Morena federal deputy Guillermo Santiago Rodríguez presented a report detailing accusations against Alito, including the Campeche Prosecutor’s Office’s accusation of embezzlement of 83.5 million Mexican pesos.
In response, PRI representative Marcela Guerra, speaking online, came to Moreno Cárdenas’ defense. She asked Morena to present evidence rather than conjecture and stated that Alito’s figure bothers them because he is a strong opponent.
In response, the national leader of the PRI himself spoke out on social media. «The @INEMexico unanimously rejected Morena’s proposal to invent and fabricate proceedings against me and the PRI for alleged irregularities in Campeche (2015-2019). Give me a break, that was 10 years ago!» wrote the PRI member.
«Morena attacks, lies, and slanders without any legal basis. They just wanted to put on a media show to continue the political persecution against me and my family. Every time Morena tries to intimidate, it will fail. Its strategy is clear: to invent and fabricate accusations, because it cannot overcome the strength of a firm and combative PRI,» he added.
He insisted that «the whole world already knows who Morena is: a corrupt, authoritarian government allied with organized crime.» «We will continue to denounce them internationally, in every forum and every space, until it is clear that Morena is synonymous with failure, lies, and betrayal of the Mexican people,» he threatened.
«We will not allow Mexico to become another Venezuela! Even if it costs us our lives, we will defend our democracy, our freedoms, and the future of our children. With the @PRI_Nacional at the forefront and the strength of the Mexican people, Morena will never impose its dictatorship,» he concluded.
