52% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s performance, according to a CNN poll

52% of Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump’s management in the White House, while 48% approve, a survey by the SSRS company published by CNN revealed on Sunday.

This division is explained by the fact that Trump is very popular among Republican citizens, where he achieves an approval rating of 90%, and very unpopular among Democrats, where he garners a disapproval rating of 90%.

Among independents, the president has a disapproval rating of 59% and an approval rating of 41%.

The result of the poll, conducted on the occasion of Trump’s speech on Tuesday before both houses of Congress, is similar to another conducted in mid-February, which showed 52% disapproval and 47% approval.

Trump’s current rate of support is higher than it was in February 2017, when he gave his first speech to Congress (44% approval and 53% disapproval).

The Republican ended his first term in January 2021 with a disapproval rating of 62% and an approval rating of 34%.

The new poll was conducted ahead of Trump’s unprecedented confrontation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, in front of television cameras in the Oval Office on Friday.

Specifically, it was carried out between February 24 and 28 with a sample of 2,212 people, a margin of error of 2.4 points and a confidence level of 95%.
