Trump told the AI companies to police themselves.

WASHINGTON — President Trump said the leaders of the big artificial-intelligence companies signed a voluntary accord at a White House lunch on Tuesday, and that his government will not limit the technology. The Associated Press said the document calls for internal and external reviews. CNN reported four steps: cybersecurity controls inside the companies, an internal team to check that the controls work, an outside operator to assess the models, and a board committee to receive the reports.

The signatures Trump posted were Sundar Pichai of Google, Dario Amodei of Anthropic, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Jensen Huang of Nvidia, Greg Brockman of OpenAI, and Elon Musk. Also in the room, CNN said, were Alex Karp of Palantir, Jeff Bezos, and House Speaker Mike Johnson. Trump told reporters he was seeing tremendous self-policing, and that whoever wins what he calls Super Intelligence is going to win. He later called the paper morally binding, and almost like a constitution. It has no force of law.
