Brent crude settled Wednesday at $101.21 a barrel, up 3.36 percent, after printing a session high of $101.87. It is the first three-figure close since July. West Texas held the mid-$90s. AAA’s national average for regular is $4.22. Diesel is $5.94, a record on the American chart. The Economy desk files a tape that took a dead seafarer and ten claimed ships and wrote them as a gallon.
Hormuz is moving about two million barrels a day, down from eight or nine. Forty-two tankers were still waiting Monday. Canada’s dairy, liquor and motorcycle ban still lands Sept. 29. The corridor that used to be a $382 billion monument is a customs form and a pump. Stocks sold the oil. The 10-year is still a war yield.
Oil prices will drop precipitously, like everything else is dropping, when we WIN the war with Iran.

The president has said gasoline will fall when America wins, “ultimately, below two.” Eight weeks from November 3, $4.22 is not a forecast. It is a midterm. The gallon does not read a Truth Social. It reads the strait.
