MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee could come to a standstill as fans celebrate the Brewers’ first World Series title, the Associated Press reported. Milwaukee Public Schools canceled classes on Friday. The parade is to run through downtown and end with a fan fest at Henry Maier Festival Park, near the lake. The club beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 on Wednesday night and took the Series in five games. That score was in Thursday’s paper. This note is the parade.
Michael Maxwell, the presiding judge in neighboring Waukesha County, said Brewers attire will be “in compliance with professional decorum expected of courtroom staff, litigants and attorneys appearing before the court” through the end of the parade. The Associated Press said a large police presence is expected.
