AAA put the U.S. diesel average at $6.2040 a gallon on Sunday, a record, above Friday’s $6.16. Regular gasoline is $4.313. The previous diesel high was this morning. The Economy desk files the workhorse fuel on a Sunday the markets are shut and the pump is not.
A hull burned off Qeshm in Hormuz overnight. Bab al-Mandab is still in Houthi hands. The East-West pipeline is still shut. Brent settled Friday near $104. Monday Gulf ministers sit with Iran in Salalah. Bahrain skipped. Araghchi says the maps are a lane, not a reopening.
