The White House is back at the Supreme Court over mail ballots.

The Trump administration on Sunday renewed its emergency appeal to the Supreme Court to let the Postal Service enforce new restrictions on mail ballots in time for the midterms. A federal judge had extended an order blocking the rule. States are already sending ballots. The AP timed the filing to Sunday. Mail voting has tripled in twenty years. The White House wants the rule before November 3. The Court is being asked to move on a holiday weekend while Missouri’s map is also on Kavanaugh’s desk. The Politics page files two clocks and one election.
