NEW YORK — La Jornada, citing AFP, reported Thursday that technology leaders have urged the United Nations to treat artificial intelligence with extreme care. The note ran on the paper’s science front, on the week the 81st General Assembly is meeting in New York.
The warning is not a treaty. It is a request, filed while presidents are in the hall for other fights: war, trade, and the border. The Technology desk files it as the one technology note the Mexican pages treated as news this morning.
