An Iranian commercial ship was struck off Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz early Sunday. One of ten crew dead. Four wounded. IRNA quoted the governor blaming a “terrorist enemy.” He had not identified the projectile. The War desk files a hull the morning before a table.
UKMTO, separately, reported a vessel hit by an unknown projectile in the strait late Saturday. A fire. Local authorities evacuating. CNN could not say if it was the same ship. CENTCOM had no comment. U.S. forces have struck Iranian-flagged hulls while holding a blockade of Iranian ports. Pezeshkian, hours earlier: “Iran won’t surrender.”
