Russia put 161 drones at Ukraine overnight, the Air Force said — Shaheds, decoys, a Banderol. Air defenses knocked down or jammed 138. Strikes still hit 19 places. In Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district a nine-story caught fire from the ground to the fourth floor. Eight injured there, among them a 64-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman with burns. The War desk files a capital that did not get a holiday because America is marking one.

A woman was killed in the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv Oblast on Friday, regional authorities said. Thursday a jet-powered drone had already hit a Kyiv gas station — the first such strike in the capital — and killed one in Obukhiv. Since the Witkoff-Kushner pause ended, the nights have not stopped. Firefighters in Dniprovskyi had to break off and take cover.

Authorities told Reuters that two people were killed and 13 injured in the city. A village near Shebekino is a separate count: one dead, one injured. Saturday’s fire in Togliatti is not in this toll.

The mayor told Reuters that Saturday’s drone attack damaged industrial facilities and that preliminary reports showed no deaths. Friday’s missile strike in Oryol, three dead, is a separate count.
