Miami-Dade has named the five men killed in the van the Prime Air Boeing 767 struck on Sunday: Rolando Aleman Leon, Carlos Acosta Fajardo, Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, Javierkys Reyes Quevedo and Julio Pineda. The U.S. desk files names. The board had the tape on Wednesday. The road had the dead on Sunday. The names arrived Thursday.
The NTSB’s case is still DCA26MA352. One pilot kept flagging speed in the last 1:42. There was no consistent answer. “Too low terrain.” A go-around, then idle four seconds later. No speed brakes. No reversers. First touch about 182 mph. The captain, 55, and the first officer, 37, sat with investigators. The board has not said which voice kept saying they were too fast.
