WASHINGTON — President Trump has restored canceled campaign rallies in Iowa and Kansas days before Tuesday’s midterm elections, Reuters reported Friday. A White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: “Rallies are BACK ON! President Trump loves his supporters, and in addition to nearly 20 tele-rallies, he will hold back-to-back rallies in Kansas and Iowa on Sunday.” The official said the stops had been rearranged to make room for the tele-rallies.

The reversal came a day after Trump told reporters he did not “feel like I have to go to Kansas,” where Senator Roger Marshall faces Democrat Adam Hamilton. “He is doing very well. We are going to have a strong Tuesday night,” Trump said then. Reuters also reported Friday that Trump would campaign that day in Florida, a state he won in 2024 and where early voting has tilted toward Democrats. This note is the reversal. It is not a dispatch from a speech in Florida.
