President Claudia Sheinbaum gave the Grito to more than 300,000 in the Zócalo on Tuesday night. City officials called it historic — 20,000 above last year. At 22:50 she took the flag on the balcony of Palacio Nacional. Heroines first: Josefa Ortiz Téllez-Girón, Leona Vicario, Gertrudis Bocanegra. Then the migrants. Then the cry.
