From Irapuato: the T-MEC is not gone. The tariffs ate the original idea.
Mañanera in Guanajuato. She respects Carney. Security was not on the call. Twenty-two times.

The mañanera was in Irapuato, Guanajuato, not the Palacio. President Sheinbaum confirmed the Wednesday call with Trump — the 22nd — and would not give the terms. Ebrard and Velasco were with her on the line. Security was not discussed, she said. The Mexico desk files a president who will talk commerce and will not talk the border on that clock.
The T-MEC, she said, has not formally disappeared. The American tariffs mean it is no longer the original idea. She respects Mark Carney. Canada’s move toward the European Union is his country’s business. Round four: Washington, Sept. 28–29. Steel, aluminum, autos still on the table.
Until there is a final agreement, we cannot announce it.
