Trump bans CNN, MS NOW, Politico. Effective immediately. They were still there.
A Truth Social post at 3 p.m. A very simple ban, he said in the Oval. No eviction yet. Other outlets to follow.

President Trump posted it on Truth Social a little after 3 p.m. Eastern: CNN, MS NOW, and Politico are banned from the White House, effective immediately, “as a result of their constant ‘reporting’ FAKE NEWS!” Other outlets “to follow.” The Politics desk files a First Amendment test announced on the president’s own site, and a press corps that was still on the grounds when the post went up.
He told reporters in the Oval later: a very simple ban. “I don’t want them in my office. I don’t want them here. I would say the ban would go as far as you can.” Asked about a court: he does not think a court should allow fake news day after day. CNN called it an illegal assault on a constitutionally protected right. Politico will defend the First Amendment. MS NOW had no immediate comment. The AP is already in court over the Gulf. Jim Acosta won last time.
I don’t want them in my office. I don’t want them here.
Diesel is still $6.45. Sheinbaum’s paper is still unsigned. The Times and the Post he called crummy, and said they might be next. The Politics desk files Friday night as it is: three names, no eviction yet, and a ban that wants to go as far as it can.
