WASHINGTON — The television pool that went dark when the networks stood with CNN is working again, or close to it. The Associated Press reported Friday that the video pool appeared to be back, and that CNN's Brian Stelter said the major networks plan to resume coverage of President Trump's events today. CNN has a pool assignment at the National Archives, where Trump is taking Xi Jinping. The White House approved the network's credentials. An Associated Press journalist saw CNN setting up. The daily schedule also listed CBS.
Judge Timothy Kelly's order on Thursday put CNN, MS NOW, and Politico back on the grounds. It did not, by itself, restart the pool. The other four networks had refused to shoot the president until CNN was allowed to take a turn. Stelter called the situation fluid. The reporters walked in yesterday. The cameras are the Friday fact.
