Yemen’s Houthis attacked Abha, Khamis Mushait and Jazan with ballistic missiles and drones on Wednesday, the Saudi-led coalition said — a second consecutive day on the kingdom, a day after 73 wounded and Aramco sites on fire. Maj. Gen. Turki al-Malki said the militia was still hitting national assets and that the coalition would answer “responsibly.” Civil Defense lifted alerts in Khamis Mushait and Abha after the shots. The War desk files a two-day offensive, not a raid.
In Sanaa, the rebels’ spokesman, Yahya Sarea, said Saudi warplanes had flown 55 sorties in 12 hours: al-Jawf, Saada, Marib, al-Bayda, Taiz, Hodeida. There was no official comment from Riyadh on the count. Yemen’s government displacement unit said 1,367 families had fled Taiz, Hodeida and Lahj in the previous day — 6,145 families since the start of September. The International Organization for Migration has put the week near 20,000 people on the road.
The Houthi militia continues its heinous attacks on the kingdom’s national assets and infrastructure.
