KHARKIV — Russian drones and missiles killed at least eight civilians overnight, Ukrainian officials said Thursday, hours after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stood in the General Assembly and asked the world to cut Russia’s revenue. Interior Minister Ihor Vyhivskyi said a strike in the Kharkiv region killed six agricultural workers and wounded 12. In Kyiv a man and a woman were killed. Odesa reported a heavy bombardment.
Zelenskyy told the Assembly on Wednesday that countries should starve Moscow of the money that keeps the war going, through sanctions and trade bans. He has made the same request at earlier sessions. Russia’s Defense Ministry said the overnight strikes hit arms factories, telecommunications, and logistics in Kyiv and the Odesa region.
