Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner made their first wartime stop in Kyiv after talks in Moscow, NPR reported on Labor Day morning. No breakthrough. Ukraine is still asking for renewed talks and more air defenses. The World desk files the itinerary, not the peace.
The Iran war is the American war this paper has been writing. Ukraine is the other front the White House still sends in-laws to. A visit without a deal is a photograph. Kyiv will count batteries, not the tarmac.
